Context
Cositas Deliciosas is a beloved Mexican touch-and-go restaurant rooted in the Latino community of New Haven, Connecticut. Known for fast service and loyal in-store customers, the business was preparing to open a second location to expand its delivery radius and increase online sales.

Problem
A Need for a Foundation
While the restaurant already had a logo and a basic website, the digital experience didn’t reflect the quality or popularity of the food. Most sales still happened in person, and the website functioned more as a placeholder than a conversion tool.
As the team prepared to open a second location, these limitations became a clear bottleneck for online ordering and delivery growth.
⚠️ A scrappy, hard-to-navigate website
⚠️ No consistent or structured menu online
⚠️ Weak responsiveness
Improved Navigation
A Quirky Nav for a Quirky Brand
A unique navbar that captures the brands fun vibe while still adhering to standard principles
Navigable Menu
I worked with the kitchen to categorize food items to optimize the full menu for easy scanning and selection
Results
Bounce rate stabilized at ~65%, reflecting more intentional traffic rather than accidental visits
Online orders increased by 20% from the original location
The new website established a scalable foundation ahead of the second location’s launch (delivery results pending opening)
Impact
This project helped Cositas Deliciosas transition from an in-store-only mindset to a digital-ready operation—positioning the business to grow without sacrificing the community-driven identity that made it successful in the first place.
